I feel like it's kind of crazy to say this, because what we do as opera singers seems so VASTLY different from what "Influencers" do, BUT... I think that we, as classical musicians, have a ton we can learn from this new world of Influencer Marketing.
I just finished listening to and reading #Influencer by Brittany Hennessey, and while there was a lot of information about brand collaboration, which most of us opera singers *probably* won't use, I really found her discussion around contracts, professionalism, and promotional collaboration to align with some of the same principles I've discussed on The Operapreneur Podcast! I would like to highlight some of my big takeaways for singers:
